Bright garnet red in colour with a aromas of red berries, blackberry jam and a hint of floral notes. This is a mellow, smooth wine with a light to medium body, typical of wines from the Chianti region. A hint of peppery-spice is present on the finish, balanced by a touch of cherry and tobacco. Lovely when young but ages nicely too.

This Italian wine comes to us from Mosti Mondiale, a Quebec-based importer of premium international grape juices, since 1989. If you have made wine at a Vintner's Cellar store prior to their closing, you will find this Gold Medal Series to be identical to the Gold Medallion wines you were making. Mosti Mondiale makes both lines!
